Biography

Named after a track from Washington post-punk outfit Nation of Ulysses' 1992 album Plays Pretty for Baby, Belgian alt-rock quintet the Hickey Underworld formed in Antwerp in 2004. Lead vocalist Younes Faltakh, guitarist Jonas Govaerts, bassist Yorgos Tsakiridis, and drummer Jimmy Wouters won the prestigious Humo's Rock Rally Contest in 2006 before performing at the Rock Werchter festival and releasing their self-titled debut album three years later. In 2012, they followed it up with I'm Under the House, I'm Dying. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
