Biography

[Edit]

Mr. Yuck was formed in Austin, TX, in 1994 by Taylor Neese (guitar, mandolin), JP Garland (guitars), and Mike Hintze (vocals). After losing bass player Wes Staub, they found the right rhythm section in duo Sam Young (drums) and Paul Vetter (bass). The group members fell into their preferred musical tastes and as the years passed, Mr. Yuck's music continued to evolve and mature with more and more shows under their belt. Everything came to a sudden end just as the band reached the height of its powers. The band's debut CD Warm Up was released on A-attack Records in 1998 and everything seemed to be falling into place until singer and partial songwriter Hintze found out that he was to be sent to Venezuela to complete two years of missionary work in order to fulfill his calling. With this, Mr. Yuck was through. As 1999 opened, Mr. Yuck morphed into FLYNN, with Young and Garland the only original members left in the project. Vetter joined local band Fat Chance.
