[Edit]Among the many, many house DJs fueling New York City's never-sleeping nightlife, DJ Jackie Christie certainly stands out among her peers. Not only does she spin the sort of sexy house tracks New Yorkers savor, but she herself is savorily sexy to boot. The resulting total package of hot and tasty sounds as well as looks made her one of the Big Apple's true superstar DJs, as best exemplified at one of her weekly performances (former residencies include The Tunnel, Webster Hall, and Limelight, among others) and second-best exemplified on her debut mix CD, Hot and Tasty Beats, released by Nervous Records in June 2003. Before climbing the ranks of New York's finest, Christie had established herself as the DJ-host of MTV's one-time dance music show, The Grind, and before that she had hosted a party-mix show on Power 96, the one-time number one-rated radio station in her native Detroit.
