Huntress

Huntress is a heavy metal band based in Highland Park, California fronted by the operatically trained vocalist and founding member Jill "Tuesdae" Janus, who hails from upstate New York. After moving west, Janus began DJ'ing and hosting club parties as DJ Tuesdae in L.A. She also fronted the all-female cover band Chelsea Girls and played acoustic gigs with Dave Navarro.

In 2009 she joined forces with guitarists Blake Meahl and Ian Alden (both formerly of Trigger Renegade and Professor), bassist Eric Harris (Skeletonwitch), and drummer Carl Wierzbicky (Dark Black). Huntress released its debut EP, Off with Her Head, in 2010, followed by the single and video "Eight of Swords" in 2011. The quintet's debut full-length, Spell Eater, appeared on Napalm in the spring of 2012. It was followed by a global tour and the album Starbound Beast in 2013.
