Biography
[Edit]A collaboration between two of Germany's most respected boundary pushers, Gut und Irmler combines the talents of Berlin-based techno producer/songwriter Gudrun Gut and Faust's Hans Joachim Irmler. After intending to work together for nearly a decade, the duo finally wrote and recorded a set of songs that combined the most transporting elements of Krautrock, kosmiche, and techno at Faust's Scheer studio in 2013. The results were 500m (so named because the studio's altitude made Gut dizzy while they were recording), which arrived the following year.
