Biography

After leaving his long-time home of Boston for Las Cruces, New Mexico, multi-instrumentalist Justin Hubbard began Germ House as an outlet for his lo-fi, fuzz-heavy breed of personal home recording and garage punk songwriting. Hubbard had been active alongside his wife and bandmate Tara McManus with their former band Turpentine Brothers, as well as a newer outfit entitled Far Corners, and when Germ House shifted out of strictly solo project territory, McManus joined Hubbard again as the drummer. Joe Atoub joined on as bassist and the trio entered the studio. The results of their more high-gloss studio sessions were mixed with Hubbard's home recordings and released in the form of 2014 debut LP Showing Symptoms.
