[Edit]Based out of Warsaw, Poland, visual and conceptual artist Aleksandra Grünholz began the electronic music side project We Will Fail as an extension of her visual work, and the dark, brooding, but somehow silently dignified sounds of debut album Verstörung offer an apt counterpart to her minimal, troubling non-musical work. Falling somewhere between minimal techno and grueling industrial, the album's 14 tracks sometimes veer toward noise without ever being overtaken by their beddings of squall. Spare, frozen synths leave lots of room for looming, empty drum machine tracks and the occasional sound of far-off field recordings.
