This budget-priced ten-track disc doesn't come close to delivering on the promise of the title; for one thing, it entirely ignores the Three Degrees' underappreciated '60s work on Swan Records, like their 1963 girl group classic "Gee Baby I'm Sorry." On the up side, however, unlike many of the cheaper Three Degrees sets, which feature re-recordings made by a later incarnation of the band, these are the original singles from Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff's Neptune and Philadelphia International labels. As such, All the Hits is a worthwhile purchase both for the curious initiate and the casual fan who just wants a CD copy of favorites like the classic "TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia)" (the theme from the Soul Train TV series) and the lesser-known but equally fine "Dirty Ol' Man." There are much better compilations available, however.
