Celtic and medieval instruments combine with nature sounds and synthzisers to create an ear-catching release for Celtic and medieval music fans. Many of the compositions marry the sound of medieval flutes and percussion to elegant, electronic harmonies. Several tunes feature the haunting sound of the gemshorn flute performing Gregorian chant melodies. Other seldom-heard instruments such as the rebec fiddle combine with several recorders playing in unison on a variety of tunes ranging from upbeat jigs to stately pavans. The tunes on the album are sequenced to guide the listener through the religious pilgrimage made during the medieval era to the sacred site of Santiago de Compostela in the mountainous region of northeastern Spain.
