Emerging from San Francisco, the Kingston Trio almost singlehandedly kickstarted the commercial wing of the great urban folk revival when they hit nationally in 1957 with their smoothed-out version of an Appalachian murder ballad called "Tom Dooley," which went on to sell some six million copies. The trio went on to place an astounding 21 albums in the Top 10 LP charts during their career. This live set, which shows how wonderfully loose, fun, and precise the group was live, in all of its incarnations, was recorded at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Los Angeles, California.
