[Edit]Body of Water is one of few heavily-rocking mid-nineties indie releases that actually works — the band's huge and rumbling rock songs have plenty of tight and well-composed changes and a nicely dynamic sound that shifts from darkly slanted minimalism to huge explosions. The result is fantastically solid rock record that appeals both in terms of intelligent composition and pure head-banging bombast — the former is an element that's lamentably absent from a lot of releases in this vein, and that makes Body of Water a pretty top-notch release for the genre.
