In late 2014, Legacy Recordings issued the 12-disc Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble set The Complete Epic Recordings Collection, which included everything by Vaughan ever issued by the label. Previously, the sets had been divided as available on iTunes: live albums, an Archives collection, and this set of studio albums. Included here are the four albums he released before his death in 1990: 1983’s Texas Flood (largely recorded in two days at Jackson Browne’s recording studio prior to their record-label signing), 1984’s Couldn’t Stand the Weather, 1985’s Soul to Soul, and 1989’s In Step.
