In late 2014, Legacy Recordings issued the 12-disc Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble set The Complete Epic Recordings Collection, which included everything by Vaughan ever issued by the label. Previously, the sets had been divided as available on iTunes: studio albums, an Archives set, and this cache of live albums. The performances start on April 1, 1980, at the Steamboat in Austin, Texas, for a radio broadcast. They continue through Vaughan’s legendary 1982 performance at Montreux that led to his major-label signing, his 1985 appearance there, a 1983 show at the El Mocambo, a 1994 Carnegie Hall concert, and various Texas jams.
