These New Zealanders started in the mid-'70s as a quirky art-rock outfit with echoes of Peter Gabriel-era Genesis. By the end of the '70s, they'd evolved into a more pop-oriented new wave band and found far greater success. This collection focuses exclusively on the latter period, capturing the edginess and energy of tunes like "I See Red" "What's the Matter with You," and "Hard Act to Follow," as well as the classic pop melodies and indelible hooks of "Six Months in a Leaky Boat" and the anthology's title track. The band's biggest hit, "I Got You," was penned by Neil Finn; it marked his emergence in a band dominated by his brother Tim and presaged his subsequent success with Crowded House.
