Tenor saxophonist Spike Robinson has had many visits to England throughout his career, including time spent as a member of London's Club 11 in the early 1950s. This Capri LP (not yet out on CD) finds Robinson back in England recording with veteran trombonist Roy Williams and a fine British rhythm section (pianist Ted Beament, bassist Paul Bridge and drummer Allan Ganley). The music is predictably excellent (Spike has long been very consistent), containing swinging renditions of such standards as "Have You Met Miss Jones," "The Man I Love" and "Indian Summer."
