[Edit]Label Small Stone's name is from a late-'60s phase-shifter guitar effect pedal. There is something both vintage and forward-looking about Soul Clique. The group features the big guitar sounds favored by '70s rockers stirred into a mix featuring mostly funk bass and big techno beats. Soul Clique's Unification is beats from a funky dancefloor and guitars from space. Part Motown, part psychedelic '60s, the blend of turntablism, bold beat music, and vintage rock is a formula mixing the classic and contemporary.
