[Edit]After Suge Knight's incarceration and bankruptcy, the game-changing, multiplatinum catalog of his Death Row Records was snapped up by WIDEawake Entertainment. In addition to classic albums from Snoop, Dre, Tupac, and Tha Dogg Pound, WIDEawake also found itself the owner of a treasure trove of unreleased early joints that didn't make it onto any official releases but are still way better than most of the gangsta rap that's come out in the last 20 years. Some of these verses will be instantly recognizable to any fan of The Chronic or Doggystyle, but they're set to completely different productions and put out under different names. If anything, this reinforces just how great Snoop was back in his prime and also gives us obscure jams from Nate, Rage, and others (Bad Azz, Jewel, Charlie Wilson, etc.). While more of a random compilation than a cohesive album, this remains a very cool time capsule and a must-hear for any G Funk fanatic.
