[Edit]
Sigma—university friends Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie—followed a very clever formula on their debut album. It’s a formula that ensured Life contained six hit singles on its release: soaring, ultra-melodic vocals collide with walloping drum ‘n' bass to produce euphoric, hands-in-the-air anthems. Labrinth’s earnest appearance on “Higher” and the introspective Rita Ora collaboration “Coming Home” hint at a more mature future sound, but this is hedonistic party music executed brilliantly. “Nobody to Love,” “Changing,” and “Glitterball” will be soundtracking the summer vacations of your children’s children.
