With her regular working band in place (featuring tasty guitar work from Chris Miller) to anchor solid guest turns from Bill Kirchen, Derek O'Brien, Cindy Bullens, Angela Strehli, Marcia Ball, and Lou Ann Barton, Sister Sarah comes to the plate with an album that delivers the goods while extending the form. All new albums exploring this kind of musical turf should be this much fun to listen to.
