Details
[Edit]Hans-Joachim Roedelius is a musical genius. He takes risks that few others would dare to take. He pushes the limits constantly. Thus, while his CDs sound like "Roedelius CDs," they all sound different. Pink, Blue and Amber is a wonderful and warm album. The unusual sound designs are intimate and intricate. This is avant-garde on a grand scale. The sound design is obscure, original, new, and unique, with no dissonant or "dysfunctional" passages. Roedelius has forged a new sound that is comfortable and friendly. Combining synths, guitars, saxophones, a viola, flutes, a koto, and a "hackbrett," the soundscapes are smooth, delicate, and graceful. This CD ranks right up there with Roedelius' best work with Brian Eno. It will also appeal to fans of Robert Rich, Riley Lee, Robert Scott Thompson, and Vidna Obmana.
