The pseudonymous Progenitor — alongside friends and colleagues including Some Bizzare (sic) supremo Stevo — entreats us to some effective but workmanlike electronica on this 1997 release. Cuts such as opener "Liberators Having Started" and "Implosion" are layered mosaics rather than songs, bringing Eastern musical nuances and mechanistic repetition to the blend. The concept seems to concern conflict — from Graham Ibbeson and Kevin Harlow's intriguing "sculpture" work featured on the album cover to song titles such as "Night Bombing" and "Destroy Zeppelin L48." Not unusually for a Some Bizzare release, fixing meanings is a process of individual guesswork. In this particular case, you're left with a font of musical ideas that is appealing, sometimes haranguing, but only occasionally compulsive.
