Neptunes followers can stop reading right now. Philly's Most Wanted's second album, Ring the Alarm, is produced by a disparate cast of characters (including C4, Dre & Vidal, Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, Brian Kid and Felony), but neither Pharrell Williams nor Chad Hugo are present. Since PMW's Neptunes-assisted debut, 2001's Get Down or Lay Down, neither Mr. Man nor Boo-Bonic have made significant strides as MCs, but the production help they receive is enough to help them get by, and they're aided in the vocal department by the likes of the Roots' Black Thought, Floetry's Marsha Ambroshius, and Ryan Toby. Those who enjoyed the debut for reasons other than the backing tracks should be pleased with this. [A clean version of the album was also made available.]
