Winter Harp is a warm, relaxing collection of classical pieces arranged by harpist Patricia Spero. Spero plays, with grace and delicacy, arrangements that are simple, letting the composers' own notes fall from the strings gently. Pieces like Brahm's "Cradle Song," and Bach's "Ave Maria," and Mendelssohn's "On Wings of Song" seem made for the airy tones of Spero's harp. When combined with the flute, the music seems to emanate from another plane of consciousness. Spero is unlimited in her expression, playing the harp as though the skill was a gift for her to share.
