From whimsical folk to baroque punk rock, Panic! At the Disco is remarkably comfortable reinventing its sound from album to album. Even so, the Las Vegas band's fourth long-player (Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!) represents the greatest departure from the band's alt-rock foundation. Influenced by Las Vegas' blistering pace and neon-lit nightlife, Too Weird spills over with synths, crunchy electric drums, and the powerful voice of frontman Brendon Urie. The result is equally fitting for a dance club and a rock show. The album's finale, "The End of All Things," is an unadorned piano ballad in which Urie's digitally altered voice washes over the track singing, "In these coming years, many things will change." Despite the somber tone, it's an exciting declaration for fans of the ever-evolving band.
