[Edit]Greg Kyryluk records his electronic space music as Alpha Wave Movement. For his rhythmic electro-tribal ambience, he records as Open Canvas. Nomadic Impressions is his first CD in that style and it is deep, focused, and intense. Kyryluk is a multi-instrumentalist of immense talent and he augments his ethnic acoustics with deep synth drones and wide atmospheres. The result is some excellent camel music: The soundscape gives listeners the impression that they are crossing the Sahara and swaying on the back of a camel. The music is rhythmic, hot, and arid. It is desert ambience from a different region. This disc will appeal to fans of Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Jamshied Sharifi, Al Gromer Khan, and Robyn Miller.
