[Edit]NOFX's Regaining Unconsciousness EP is a teaser for the War on Errorism LP. The three album tracks included are effective slices of hook-heavy California hardcore, colored with NOFX's particular brand of snide, clowning social and political commentary. The self-explanatory blast "Hardcore 84" rounds out the set. But for the list price of just five dollars, the best reason to buy this EP is the bonus track. A hilarious send-up of those late-night "$18.95 + $5.95 shipping and handling" ads for back-catalog classic rock compilations, the clip features El Hefe promoting his guitar solos on War on Errorism with actual sound clips from the LP. And don't miss the cover art, which features flesh-eating zombies drinking Starbucks coffee and yakking on cellular phones.
