[Edit]Riding Thunder offers a broad range of emotions integral in the nature of flute music. Inspired by the role the horse played in history of Native Americans, The Native American Flute Ensemble has composed a story of often reflective musical images of wild horses on the plain. It begins when the first horses escape from a shipwrecked Spanish galleon and crescendos with a buffalo hunt on the Great Plains. In keeping with the imagery, Riding Thunder fixes the muted sounds of thundering hooves and nature into some of the cuts.
