For anybody who dismissed Bay Area favorite Mistah FAB as just another flash-in-the-pan rapper with local Hyphy hits, 2011's exceptional mixtape I Found My Backpack should have changed your mind for good. Switching up his production, he delivered some of his best work to date, silencing any haters who were sick of the whole “ghostride the whip” scene and older heads who longed for that golden-era vibe. On this second edition, he drops another batch of dope hip-hop. It's loaded with soulful beat work and highly personal lyricism that touches on his lifelong love for the culture and the ups and downs of Oakland life. Practically every track on here is a banger, but highlights include the opening memory-lane joint "Bring the Classics Back" (which flips a legendary Geto Boys beat), "Peep the Politics," "Fallin," and "If the Streets Could Talk." Featuring guest spots from Jadakiss, Talib Kweli, and Noreaga, among others, this is arguably one of the year's best albums from one of the game's most impressive emcees.
