This second volume of Mills Brothers recordings from 1931 to 1934 adds 23 non-chronologically sequenced selections, bringing to 50 the number of tracks drawn from the group's recordings on Brunswick and Decca Records during the period. The hits have been scattered between the two discs, so that, for example, the 1931 recording of "Tiger Rag" is here, but the Mills Brothers' other number one hit from this era, "Dinah," is on the first volume. Once again, the tracks seem to have been mastered from records, though unlike those on the first volume they have been put through the Cedar process; still, the sound is not optimal. But between them the two albums offer a comprehensive collection containing most of the Mills Brothers' early recordings.
