[Edit]Louis Prima's big band from the '50s is more swing than pure jump blues or boogie-woogie, so the title may be a bit inaccurate. These styles did follow him around when he became popular during this time. If you're a fan of the trumpeter and vocalist, this might wet your whistle. It's fun music, from the faux Louis Armstrong vocals to the campy tunes and carefree attitude. The musicianship is first-rate, if a bit safe and compacted, and the sound quality is better with digital enhancement. It's a fair introduction to Prima, but not essential. ~ Michael G. Nastos, Rovi
