Louis Schefano, whose credits include a series of indie bands including Remy Zero, Verbena, and Little Red Rocket, as well as his own nom de group, Regia, here almost comes clean by crediting an EP to Louis. It's a concise set of somewhat monotonic folk-pop, with the singer/songwriter lazily musing about insanity and other ills, although he doesn't seem too disturbed. "I feel confident/That a straitjacket's not in my future," he begins in the title track, later confiding in "Your Disease" that "your disease liberates you." It's reassuring, after a fashion, especially when the listener is carried along by the steady rhythms and guitar strums. "It might be for my own good if I don't do what I should," Schefano declares at his most emphatic on "My Own Good," and like the rest of the sentiments expressed in this brief collection, that brings out the singer's distracted slacker philosophy.
