[Edit]This is a re-release of a very fine band from the '50s. Vera is a fine singer in the semiplaintive, semihumorous cumbia vein, and the mambo-inflected band (two trumpets, two saxes) is with her all the way. Fine though some of the new Colombian salsa groups are, the cumbia bands have much more regional flavor, and this one is a classic.
