Lightwave consists of French electronic musicians Christian Wittman and Christoph Harbonnier, along with ex-Tangerine Dream member Paul Haslinger. This release, inspired by 16th century Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe, is also the band's U.S. debut. Their minimalist approach concentrates more on the atmospheric landscapes that are inherent with this genre than the spectacular technological capabilities at their disposal. Haslinger's classical training and sense of melody combine with Whittman and Habonnier's experimental approach, resulting in the adventures in sound that encourage listeners to roam their consciousness and flirt with new perspectives, new dreams, new realities.
