[Edit]Special Request features a dozen songs performed by multi-instrumentalist Leston Paul, an esteemed soca artist who first rose to prominence in the '80s. Paul either wrote or co-wrote most of the songs he performs on this album, including "We Go Take It So," "Ah Feelin," "The Executioner," and others. There are a few guest musicians who join Paul on Special Request: trombonists Clyde Mitchell and Ricky Clarke, trombonist Patrick Spicer, tenor sax player David Phillip, and several background vocalists. Besides writing most of the album, Paul also arranges and produces every song.
