At 46, the only thing Kenny Chesney has left to prove is that he can still party as hard as in the heyday of tunes like "The Good Stuff." And on The Big Revival, well, he does. "Flora-Bama" is a four-and-a-half-minute toast to the titular "redneck Riviera" (a venue/festival in Pensacola). The Grace Potter duet "Wild Child," a smoky ballad, follows in the footsteps of their "You and Tequila," from 2010's Hemingway's Whisky. Though Kenny's now older, he's also wiser: "Drink It Up" is a carpe diem rocker, an ode to living life to its fullest, not drinking a bottle to its emptiest. And the single "American Kids" is a bouncing celebration of youth and one of Chesney's most buoyant singles–which is saying something for a guy who's spent his career floating down the lazy river of life.
