Details
[Edit]16-song collection drawn from his mid-'60s singles, as well as three unissued cuts. Simmons is a decent singer and about half the material is strong, but the real stars of the album are the Hi session players, who lay down impeccable punchy, shuffling grooves. Besides "Haunted House," highlights include the rollicking "Ramblin' Man" and "Go on Shoes," which qualifies as one of the great hit-singles-that-never-was with its moody hooks and terrific soulful female backup vocals.
