[Edit]Now available on CD, this recording from 1980 is a pleasant piece of retro-Americana, with John McCutcheon proving himself a virtuoso on hammer dulcimer, banjo, fiddle, guitar, and autoharp. Indeed, the instrumentation is the album's strong suit. The weak link is McCutcheon's rather unremarkable voice. But there is enough charm and artistry in his musicianship to make up for that shortcoming.
