Although she has been singing flamenco and copla professionally since her childhood, Joana Jimènez only attained massive popularity when she won the first edition of the hit talent show Se Llama Copla in 2008. Her self-titled third solo album was produced by Jacobo Calderón, and is her first to contain all-new compositions (as opposed to standards) written especially for the singer. Although trained as a flamenco vocalist, Jimènez is not unknown to ally her musical roots with pop and romantic balladry, as in the first single, "No Quiero Saber de Ti," written by Raúl Bioque. The album also feature collaborations with cantaor Miguel Poveda in "Miéntete" and pianist David Peña Dorantes in "Empate."
