At the time this was recorded, most of these songs were contemporary standards, but over the years, almost every one of them have turned into bonafide classics. That alone makes the record worthwhile to Vale fans, but they'll be especially pleased that he gives a fine performance throughout the record. It's the combination of fine songs and fine performances that makes Great Moments in Broadway a nice addition to any Vale catalog.
