[Edit]James Horner's score for Clear and Present Danger, the third film based on Tom Clancy's novels about CIA agent Jack Ryan, continues in the sweeping tradition of his music for Patriot Games. Pieces like the main theme, "The Ambush," "Deleting the Evidence," and "Truth Needs a Soldier/End Title" blend anthemic, patriotic elements with the tense musical cues expected from an action movie soundtrack; though it's too predictable at times, Horner's score is more than appropriate for the flag-waving, political thriller it supports.
