[Edit]Ismael Quintana's second Vaya release illustrates the Fania music machine at their zenith, with Papo Lucca heading a team of wonderful musicians like Luis "Perico" Ortiz, Barry Rogers, Roberto Roena, Nicky Marrero, and backup vocalists like Rubén Blades and Tito Allen. As usual, Quintana shows that he is a master of melancholy, and tunes like the title tune, "Guajirita," "Malditos Celos," "Maestro de Rumberos," "El Juez Final," and "En Cada Beso" prove that a great sense of variety, a full command of salsa genres, and room for creativity can make a difference in a salsa records.
