[Edit]Ismael Miranda adds another superior effort to his extensive discography. The material is familiar, but recording- and arrangement-wise is an update and will be appreciated by incoming generations. Like most salsa acts of the '60s and '70s, it is material that merits reconsideration. Newer audiences seem to be rooting for the older generation performances that make the newer, romantic salsa performances seem pale and indifferent by comparison. Longtime collaborator Louis Garcia's usually skilled musical direction keeps the standard Miranda repertoire alive and brimming with zest.
