A 10" EP wrapping up half-a-dozen of the Hawkwind odds-and-ends leased to the Flicknife label during the early 1980s, as the doors to the band's voluminous archive finally began creaking open. Once that happened, of course, the flood would never cease. For now, however, Flicknife's efforts were only to be applauded.

Opening with a pre-record contract demo of the first album's "Hurry On Sundown," the set moved on through an early take of Lemmy's quintessential speed anthem "Motorhead," featuring a raw Dave Brock vocal, and the Hawklords-era "Over the Top," with singer Robert Calvert oddly under the impression that he was about to perform "Master of the Universe." More recent live recordings include the anthemic "Who's Gonna Win the War" and "Motorway City," similarly culled from recent Flicknife 45s.
