[Edit]Gerry Mulligan and Art Farmer played together for only a brief time in the late fifties, so this 1959 concert is a valuable addition to their discography, although there are dropouts in places due to a faulty tape source, especially on "As Catch Can." The interplay of this tightly knit group is exemplary throughout the CD, especially on the lyrical treatment of "Baubles, Bangles, And Beads" and the leader's still fresh "Walkin' Shoes." Mulligan switches to piano for "Spring Is Sprung" and a long version of Farmer's "Blueport" is the album's highlight. Highly recommended.
