Details
[Edit]20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of George Jones collects a dozen tracks from Jones' '90s albums for MCA, including "I Don't Need Your Rocking Chair," "Wrong's What I Do Best," "Never Bit a Bullet Like This," and "Honky Tonk Song." For the most part the collection stays in the upbeat, rollicking territory of his work — as exemplified by "High-Tech Redneck," though there are a few ballads, such as "The Love in Your Eyes," for balance. Admittedly, these latter-day MCA albums aren't the finest releases of Jones' career; the glossy productions on them work against the material and Jones' character, but 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of George Jones is still a decent collection of his work from this period, and probably a better way for fans to investigate his '90s work than buying the individual albums.
