Inspired by George Duke's 1979 album Brazilian Love Affair, the 2014 compilation Brazilian Fusion aims to brings together cuts Duke recorded in the Brazilian Love Affair style for other albums. Here we get such songs as 1977's "Diamonds," 1978's "Yeah, We Going," 1979's "Sunrise," 1984's "Ipanema Lady," and others. These are funky, soulful songs (some bossa nova-influenced, others not) that make for a fun, joyful listen.
