[Edit]Ganksta NIP's fourth album Interview With a Killa doesn't find the Houston-based rapper trying anything new, but it's the best collection of Southern-fried, funky hardcore hip-hop that he's yet assembled. His lyrics are focused, blistering with anger and intelligence, while his music is similarly clear-eyed, with hard-hitting rhythms balanced by funky grooves and real instrumentation. It's a dynamic blend that illustrates exactly why NIP is one of Houston's best rappers.
