[Edit]Foul Play Productions offers an intriguing debut with Field of Action, falling somewhere between trip-hop and drum'n'bass, but not really fitting comfortably in either category. It has the atmosphere of trip-hop, but it's too uptempo, although there are some torchy female vocals a la Portishead or Lamb; while the rhythms have a drum'n'bass feel, they're more straightforward and less complex than usual for the genre. While that means that portions of the album can sound a little samey, the best moments are accessible without pandering, and demonstrate Foul Play Productions' potential.
