Bandmates/brothers Joel and Luke take a widescreen approach, layering voices and instruments to create a sound that’s almost physical in impact. Echoes of U2, Coldplay, and film composer James Horner can be heard here, applied to a melodic sensibility that favors dynamic swoops and explosive choruses. Lyric themes of worship, personal empowerment, and gratitude keep the album’s accent on the positive. “Fix My Eyes,” “Long Live,” and “It’s Not Over Yet” are soaring anthems of the Spirit-filled life that inspire a shout-along response.
