[Edit]In the mid-'60s the RCA Vintage Series released several Fats Waller collections that featured highlights from his Rhythm sides and solo recordings. These have since been superceded by more complete reissue programs (some of which are on CD) but those listeners just beginning to explore the magic of Fats Waller's music and are lucky enough to run across one of these collections are well advised to acquire them. Fractious Fingering has three piano solos and 13 rambunctious sides by Fats Waller's Rhythm including satirical interpretations of "Curse of an Aching Heart" and "Who's Afriad of Love?" and crazy versions of "Floatin' Down to Cotton Town" and "Swingin' Them Jingle Bells."
